INTRAMURALS 2023
As someone who has participated in intramurals, I can attest to the valuable experience it provides in communication, leadership, and time-management. During my time in intramurals, I found that effective communication was crucial, especially during games when every move and decision can determine the outcome. My team initially struggled with communication, but we were able to improve as we practiced and played more games. Sharing thoughts and ideas during our dance routines also brought us closer together and strengthened our teamwork.
What I enjoyed most about intramurals was the sense of camaraderie and fun that permeated every aspect of the experience. While winning was important, it was also important to just have fun and enjoy the experience. Our team, the blue team, had the most fun during practices when we were just joking, dancing, and singing. We were competitive at first, but after a few games, we accepted the fact that we weren't going to win every game. It was about enjoying the experience and making memories with our teammates.
Another aspect of intramurals that I appreciated was the fair and friendly competition. None of my friends got upset about winning or losing, and it was all fair game. It was great to see my friends enter the muse and escort events, looking so pretty and handsome. I was proud of their confidence and the way they represented their teams.
Finally, I loved that my friends and I were on different teams and didn't pick any favorites. We cheered for one team and then the other, showing support for all our friends regardless of which team they were on. Intramurals provided a unique opportunity to support each other and share in the experience of physical activity, teamwork, and competition.
Overall, my experience in intramurals provided me with valuable life skills, strengthened relationships with my teammates, and allowed me to have fun while being active. I highly recommend intramurals to anyone looking for a fun and rewarding way to stay active and build relationships with their peers.
